Dr. Massanelli grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Arkansas. He completed his residency in pediatrics and a one-year fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. During residency, he trained under Dr. Decker in both general pediatrics and sports medicine. Dr. Massanelli is board certified in pediatrics and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Texas Medical Association, Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness, and the American Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Massanelli chose pediatrics because, in his words, “kids make for awesome and fun patients.” He adds, “Pediatrics is a challenging but rewarding field that allows a physician to serve one’s community and help the next generation reach adulthood in good health. It offers one of the most unique medical experiences—building a lasting relationship not just with the patient, but also with their families. I enjoy collaborating with parents to provide the best possible care for the child and the family unit.”

Dr. Massanelli lives in Pearland with his wife and daughter.  In his free time, he enjoys cooking, exercising, reading, and hosting game nights with friends. He also loves going on long walks with his family and their dog, Dougal. You will often find him on the sidelines at Pearland and Dawson football games, supporting student athletes. Dr. Massanelli looks forward to meeting you and your family!
