Delia Garcia MSN, CPN, FNP-C
Delia grew up in Pasadena, TX with both of her parents and 3 siblings. Her favorite subject as a child was Science and she always knew her career would involve the health care field. During her teenage years she worked at a small photograph studio as photographer, it was there where she quickly realized how much she loved working with children and see them smile. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelors in Science of Nursing degree Bachelors at Texas Tech University, Lubbock Texas. She started working at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center in 2009 as a Registered Nurse, where she obtained a solid foundation in most areas of pediatrics including pediatric surgery, trauma, intermediate care, neonatal intensive care unit, and pediatric neurology. Her strong background and knowledge in pediatrics allowed her to become a Certified Pediatric Nurse during that time. She also had a great desire to expand her medical knowledge and widen her scope of practice, which led her to further her career and obtain a Masters degree from Texas Tech University and become a licensed Nurse Practitioner. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Thau International Honor Society, Houston Area Nurse Practitioners (HANP), and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She enjoys being an active member of her community and devotes some of her spare time to volunteer at events hosted by local non-profit organizations around the area. She loves spending time with her family, outdoor activities, cycling, tennis, music, dancing and attending live concerts. Overall, her biggest passion is making a difference by delivering genuine care to each and every one of her patients.
